AMYRIS

A unique sweet, warm and woody scent. The generic name is derived from the Greek word αμυρων (amyron), which means "intensely scented".

BENZYL ALCOHOL

A preservative derived from fruit used to prevent the growth of microorganisms.

BERGAMOT

A fresh, citrus scent but with a unique floral and spicy edge.

BLACK PINE

A woodsy and evergreen scent. We blend it with notes of Amyris and Bergamot to conjure all the fresh comfort of a walk through nature.

CEDAR

An aromatic wood scent, with balsamic undertones. We combine it with Labdanum notes, for a comforting, indulgent bathing experience.

CITRIC ACID

A natural, organic acid found in citrus fruits. Enhances the stability and shelf-life of products, act as a pH adjuster and also supports skin exfoliation.

COCO GLUCOSIDE

A mild and gentle natural surfactant used for cleansing that won’t dry out the skin..

COCOMIDOPROPYL BETAINE

A naturally-derived cleansing agent producing by combining coconut oil with a surfactant.

DEHYDROZANTHAN GUM

An all-nature thickener produced by fermenting glucose or sucrose, used as a binder and stabilizer with added skin hydration properties.

DISODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE

Derived from coconut oil and fermented sugar, this environmentally-friendly ingredient has excellent cleansing and foaming properties and is ideal for sensitive skin.

GLYCERINE

A natural compound derived from vegetable oil, this moisturising agent pulls water into the outer layer of the skin.

INULIN (PREBIOTIC)

A naturally derived carbohydrate, this prebiotic balances the microbiome of your skin for a smooth, blemish-free complexion. Works to create a barrier against pollution and environmental damage.

LABDANUM

A warm and complex scent, that is sometimes referred to as 'amber'.It has leathery, honey-like notes.

LACTOBACILLUS FERMENT LYSATE (PROBIOTIC)

A probiotic ingredient with soothing properties that works to balance the microbiome of your skin.

LAURYL GLUCOSIDE

A naturally-derived cleansing agent use to reduce the viscosity of liquid-based products, making it easier to apply and rinse away. Biodegradable and mild, it’s made by combining sugar and fatty alcohol.

LEUCONOSTOC/RADISH ROOT FERMENT FILTRATE

A natural preservative sourced from radishes fermented with Leucnostoc kimchi, a lactic acid bacteria used in making kimchi.

PANTHENOL (VITAMIN B5)

Otherwise known as Vitamin B5, it improves hydration, reduces inflammation and aids with skin healing.

pH

pH stands for potential hydrogen and is a measure of how acidic or alkaline a substance is. When it comes to the pH of your skin, this should be slightly acidic, at about 5.5. All of our products are designed to respect skin's natural pH.

SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE

A 100% naturally-derived plant extract that hydrates, protects and soothes skin. It binds deep within the outer layers of the skin for prolonged hydration.

SALICYLIC ACID

A multifunctional ingredient that soothes aggravated skin, evens skin tone and hydrates.

SODIUM BENZOATE

The sodium salt of benzoic acid, this preservative prevents the growth of bacteria and mould.

SODIUM CHLORIDE

Commonly known as salt, this natural compound is included as a thickener and preservative.

SORBIC ACID

A naturally occurring crystalline powder that kills microorganisms and prevents spoilage.

TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE

A chelating agent which acts as a preservative booster by binding calcium and magnesium ions. This keeps the product microbe free for longer.
